Outdoor rectangular bathing pool containing the submerged St Beuno’s Stone which can be seen in the photo nearer to the front of the pool than the steps and hand rail in the rear left corner. The well chamber behind the pool is a fine example of late perpendicular architecture creating an almost square crypt covering the wellhead. Around the well, graceful columns rise to support an elaborate vaulted roof which in turn supports St Winifrede’s Chapel above. Once, steps led from the well up...

New York Cleopatra's Needle submitted by AlexHunger on 27th Apr 2006. The New Yorkers also call this Obelisk Cleopatra's Needle. It was errected at On, otherwise known as Heliopolis a suburb of modern Cairo, around 1600 BCE by Thutmose I. This is the same location the London Obelisk comes from while only one remains in situ. The Romans took it to Alexandria in 12 BCE. The Egyptian government donated it to NYC in 1881 and the move was paid for by the Vanderbilts. It is now in Central Park behind the Metropolitan Museum. Place de la Concorde Obelisk submitted by AlexHunger on 8th Jul 2005. Place de la Concorde Obelisk Taken from Egypt and placed in the center of Paris. It originaly stood in front of the temple of Luxor, where its twin remains. Similar to Cleopatra's needle in London, there are more captured obelisks of this kind in Central Park New York or Rome etc. It received a Gold cap on the Pyramidon tip for the year 2000.

Miller's Grave submitted by DavidRaven on 26th Feb 2004. The remains of a bronze-age burial mound on the windswept Midgeley Moor, near Hebden Bridge. The outer stones surround a huge curious rock with a crack down it's middle. Looking north; the distinctive boulder called 'Robin Hood's Penny Stone' visible on the horizon.

Log Text: Nice peaceful place to visit. Whilst not confirmed, it is likely to be a cairn of some kind as the nearby Robin Hood's Pennystone, the cairn and a nearby hilltop all line up.

Stonehenge. submitted by Feanor on 23rd Jun 2011. Inside the Ring 26 October 2010, ~9.30 AM Shot inside the Eastern edge of the Circle, looking due north. We have the NorthEast Trilithon on the left with the morning-shadow of Stones 6/7/107 falling across it. Bluestone 32-C is in the shadow of Stone 6. It was a lovely morning!
