Eglwys Gwyddelod Stone Circle submitted by Johnny on 1st Jan 2002. Eglwys Gwyddelod "The Irishman's Church" stone circle (OS 135; GR: SH 663 002) is a delightful small circle in beautiful surroundings. Five small stones and two stumps make up a circle 8m in diameter. At the centre of the circle is a quartz boulder which is believed to have been an original feature of the site.

Gwastadgoed submitted by Tom_Bullock on 24th Oct 2006. According to the www.megalithic.co.uk site, there are two standing stones at this site, which is what I found there. The stone at the N is 3–feet tall, while that at the N, 30 feet away, is 5–feet tall.

St Cadfan (Tywyn) submitted by PAB on 28th Aug 2015. Cadfan Stone - lower part of front 'panel'. This is considered to be the earliest known inscription in the Welsh language. Probably early 9th century, but said to be even earlier by some sources...

A straight walk up the hill along a rough track after passing through two metal gates. Continue on up and the circle is on left hand side. You won't be disappointed.

Avebury Aerial 0507 submitted by JJ on 4th Nov 2003. Here's my theory: As you can see, the shadows cast on the western side of the circle point to the exact spot for the next stone in line. Perhaps this is why Avebury is more hexagonal in shape than round.
Based on this assumption, then it would be easy to work out the heights of the missing stones without too much difficulty. Maybe the distance between each stone along this side was calculated not by 'linear measurement' but rather set by the preceding stone and shadow cast.

Waun Oer submitted by JAL on 14th Aug 2006. This stone alignment is of at least 4 stones. It is in an enclosed field but the gate from the public road nearby appears to be left permanently open. This view is from the south west. Stone 1 is standing, stone 2 has fallen and 3 & 4 are standing.
