Eggardon Hill submitted by TimPrevett on 18th Sep 2022. South central ramparts, looking south, if I recall correct. A day of ethereal sunlight and managing mental health stresses. Prehistory and landscapes, two of the best tonics for me. 26th November 2020.

Bincombe Barrows
Date Added: 21st Apr 2023
Site Type: Barrow Cemetery
Country: England (Dorset)
Visited: Yes on 14th Apr 2023. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 4 Access 3

Bincombe Barrows submitted by TimPrevett on 4th Nov 2003. Bincombe Barrows SY689847; these sit on top of a hill overlooking Preston, and Upwey / Littlemoor parts of Weymouth. Notable finds here - details to follow in a comment. Shame that the Pylons & phone mast / aerials impose on an otherwise spectacular setting, not far from Chalbury hillfort, and the Came Wood / Down Barrow cemetery.

Log Text: Walked to this site on many occasions, as I live locally in Bincombe Valley. A great place to sit and admire the view.
