Bretta Ness
Date Added: 19th Jun 2024
Site Type: Ancient Village or Settlement
Country: Scotland (Orkney)
Visited: Yes on 17th Jun 2024

Bretta Ness submitted by PAB on 11th Jan 2021. As different names are used sometimes, I thought this annotated photo might be useful.
Bretta Ness is the name used by Canmore for the small projection at the east end of the loch. The island at the western end is called The Burrian by Canmore, but simply Wasbister on the Portal, whereas Wasbister is actually the name of the loch itself.
