Baile Meadhonach submitted by Skryabin on 12th Nov 2022. On left bank of small stream running out of Loch Garbad. Cairn portals and two chambers can be clearly seen. Evidence of semi-circular facade. Some outlying stones mostly turf covered. In damaged condition. More easily seen from the track to Loch Garbad now that forest has been felled.

Log Text: Easily seen as overgrown mound - grass and whin - over stone wall at the roadside near parking place for the beach at NS 059587. It is a round cairn excavated by Bryce in 1903. (see Book of Arran).

Log Text: Reed bed off the south side of the loch mark the place of the Crannog(artificial island and causeway) now completely submerged. Viewed from the boathouse. Farmland surrounds the loch and there is no access to the site.
