Großsteingrab Wittenhöhe / Wittenhöge
Date Added: 5th Mar 2014
Site Type: Chambered Tomb
Country: Germany (Lower Saxony, Bremen)
Visited: Would like to visit
Großsteingrab Wittenhöhe / Wittenhöge submitted by Martin_L on 12th May 2008. View towards west.
Green numbers = stone in situ / slightly out of place
Red numbers = out of place
At least 12 stones are preserved, 6 of them are in situ others are slightly, some even completely out of place. All are mostly hidden in the remains of the ransacked barrow. A few metres north west of the barrow 2 large erratic blocks (No. 13 and 14) are visible. Most probably they originally were part of tombs' structure.
