Sacred Spring, Bath
Trip No.14 Entry No.1 Date Added: 1st Oct 2010
Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring
Country: England (Somerset)
Visited: Yes on 7th Nov 2006. My rating: Condition 5 Ambience 4 Access 5

Sacred Spring, Bath submitted by Thorgrim on 8th Aug 2004. The hot springs still rise at Bath. Sacred to Sulis long before the coming of the Romans. Tourists stand in awe of the Roman outflow, but that is merely a drain. Here where the hot water bubbles up from the earth is the real mystery.

Site Type: Chambered Tomb
Country: Germany (Lower Saxony, Bremen)

Hülseberg Grosssteingrab submitted by AlexHunger on 13th Apr 2007. Probably completely destroyed chambered tomb. Only two smaller stones within 100 Meters of the expected position were found.
There is a lot of managed logging in the area involving heavy equipment, which probably didn't do the site any good.
