Flutters Hill Barrow submitted by SolarMegalith on 6th Nov 2011. Most of the maps and reports point out this mound as a Bronze Age barrow, but one of the earlier Pastscape reports claims it is a natural mound. Indeed, at first glance it might look like part of a ridge cut by the road (photo taken on November 2011).

Mag's Well (Abinger Forest) submitted by Andy B on 3rd Mar 2010. Hidden in the woods behind Coldharbour is Mag's Well, a healing spring said to ease skin complaints. Being slightly impregnated with sulphate of magnesia, the water has a somewhat sulphurous taste and should not be taken in any significant quantity. The name is probably a corruption of St. Margaret's Well.

Cherkley Court Barrows submitted by Andy B on 7th Apr 2010. The location of this round barrow, just on the corner of Stane Street with the track down to Cherkley Court is now completely covered in shrub. There may be a slight rounding of the terrain but it's very difficult to tell.

Chanctonbury Hill is the highest point here and affords views to the North Downs and the Isle of Wight, I was even able to make out the towers of Fawley Oil Refinery in the evening sun. First inhabited by tribesman from the Bronze Age, the defensive works are from the Iron Age, whilst the Romans built a temple in the middle and the Saxons used it as a fort.
