There are an awful lot osf slabs of rock outcropping in the heather on Garleigh Moor which have cup marks on them - how do you tell which ones are manmade 5,000 odd years ago and which ones are caused by weathering?

The natural preserve 'Naturschutzgebiet Radegasttal' stretches 2km in NNW-SSE orientation along the east border of the meandering river Radegast, 4km NNW of the town Gadebusch. It is a mixed forest, and you can enter it from the NNW end near Neu Benzin. A small path leads you along the forests border, and you come along a number of very old trees with almost 2m diameter. Some archaeos think this rare type of cairn might have been a windbreak for livestock! As you can imagine, it hasn’t been widely accepted because a number have contained human remains.
