Birkenmoor Dolmen (3) submitted by holger_rix on 23rd Mar 2009. Extended Dolmen in the Birkenmoor area, near Kuhholzberg.
Just 35m from the street, you have a nice view on the chocolate side
of this Dolmen when you drive by.
The two uprights of the southern side are missing, but the 2.5m by 1.5m
capstone is still resting safe. For sure a beauty to look at,
perfect for the history interested tourist.

D53 Havelterberg submitted by Sunflowerbird on 10th Mar 2005. D53 Havelteberg
The two Havelteberg monuments are a long way west from the string of hunebedden between Emmen and Assen. But they're worth a detour!
D54 and D53 are within 400ms of each other in sandy heathland.
D53 is a moster hunebed in superb shape and even has its portal stones.
