Mont Dol is a large granite rock outcrop, dramatically jutting up through the flat coastal marshlands of the Baie de Mont St-Michel to the north of the ancient city of Dol-de-Bretagne, and in some ways is rather like Mont St-Michel itself, although nowadays completely enclosed within farmed lands.

Log Text: The site is overgrown with long grass and knee-high cereal crops in the fields surrounding the barrow site. Barbed-wire around the site and some old stone cattle feeding troughs.

Log Text: St Wilfrid's church is usually open to the public every day. It is located just past the Roman museum. Two small cross fragments on windowsill in Dutton Chapel (Choir).

Log Text: The mound in the centre of the village is easy to find. It can't really be missed. Quite large compared to other nearby mounds. It is covered with trees and some lumps and bumps on the top.

Log Text: The site is difficult to access due to walls and barbed-wire all around. I nipped over a broken wall, shouldn't really do this, but nobody about. Best to get the farmer's permission if you can find him!
