Log Text: We used to live at the bottom of the hill where the cross is. It is right next to the road, so easy to find and see. There are gorgeous views down the valley from it.

He says: "The menhir, 3.1 m high, still stands in its original position, 42 m almost due south from the centre of the stone circle. There is no evidence that the smaller pillar, 2 m long, lying a few meters away ever stood upright, but it was erected in 1895 in the pit alongside, toppling again a few years later. Bennet's Cross submitted by thecaptain on 2nd Aug 2006. This is a lovely cross, believed to have been carved from a prehistoric menhir.
It stands about 1.7 metres tall, and is just beside the B3212 road near its high point as it crosses the moor between Moretonhampstead and Postbridge.

Log Text: surrounded on 2 sides by a covered over rubbish tip is the down side. The other side it a lovely lake. Lots of overgrowing weeds when we visited, but that was at the end of the lock down.
Unable to access via Route 2. A new housing estate has been built in between the cemetery and circle.

Log Text: One of the best sites to visit anywhere. So big there is a village, with shop and pub inside it. We have been many times, and the Red Lion pub is a must stop too for lunch or a drink. Great site to visit in the winter, as well as summer. Don't miss walking up the procession way across the road that leads up to the circle. There are numerous gathering there on special dates.
