The lower chamber, reached by a 19' passage, is about 12' long x 5' wide x 5' high, and is divided into 4 cells by upright slabs. The upper chamber, whose floor is the celing of the lower chamber, is reached by an 11' long passage, and is divided into 2 compartments. Log Text: From Spittal of Glenshee walk along the Cateran Trail, over one cattle grid, past one bothy. Just before the second cattle grid/bothy take the grass trail forking up to the left and steeply up. The grave is a mound with four stones at the top.

Delightful location - the walk over the field feels more like a procession, with the chambers looking more impressive all the time.

Bod Deiniol SH368857 Visited Tuesday 15th June 1999 Access: We parked at nearby Llyn Alaw reservoir visitors' centre car park (some of the lanes to here are very narrow and bendy!). The stone I estimated about 10 to 11 feet tall, about 6 feet at its widest; covered in lichen. One side very smooth, and one side very rough.

In the 1860s in excess of 50 buildings were recorded, but now numbers around 20. Active settlement was on this location for sometime, and not all the remains seen are contemporary with each other. Finds at this location, and very nearby, date occupation from mesolithic to Romano British times. The hut circles seen are obvious, but there are a number of square features.
