Plas Newydd Burial Chamber submitted by angela on 10th Jun 2002. Plas Newydd
If you are visiting Bryn Celli Ddu on Anglesey it is worth looking at this Burial Chamber site as it is nearby at SH 520 697. Coming from the bridge on the A4080 after about 2 miles take the left turn a few metres before the left turn to the National Trust car park for Plas Newydd. This lane has a blue private sign but this is for the centre down there. After a short distance you will see the tomb on the right in a field. This photo was from a winter visit and it was a quiet frosty ...

Bryn Gwyn Stones submitted by petelovespurple on 24th Apr 2012. I'd been to see Castell Bryn Gwyn, noticed the stones marked on the map, when I got there discovered there was a dig going on, they had found the base of one of the destroyed stones plus stone holes for other stones, I'd have thought there would be more info here......

Caer Leb submitted by TimPrevett on 14th Apr 2004. Caer Leb is a rectilinear settlement enclosure, with double ditches and banks defining an area 200 feet by 160 feet. Some have interpreted it as a mediaeval homestead with moat (indeed, some of the ditches get very water logged). However, finds of a 3rd Century AD brooch, a 4th Century denarius of Postumus, and Roman pottery and quernstones date the site much earlier than mediaeval. Maen Tarw submitted by Johnny on 10th Oct 2001. Maen Tarw Standing Stone (SN 722 833)
Maen Tarw standing stone is close to the Buwch a'r Llo stone pair (cf) but just within the forestry block, again adjacent to the road. It is a small block of unusual appearance, probably due to severe weathering over the years! Whatever function it originally served is no longer known but it may have, in some way, been linked to the Buwch a'r Llo pair.
