Log Text: A walk along a winding stony path, but worth the trouble. There is a sign on the road opposite the path, saying 100 metres, but I’m sure it’s more than that!

Five cists arranged in an oval are visible from a field entrance west of Newport on the A487(T) in Pembrokeshire in SW Wales. Apparently the farmer does not mind considerate visitors entering the field to look.
May have been in use into the Bronze Age and covered by an oval mound.

Located close to the centre of Newport in Pembrokeshire with public access. Although called a tripod dolmen four uprights exist - only two of which support the capstone (which is said to replicate the summit of Carn Ingli to the south).
Excavations have revealed cremated bone, Beaker and Grooved ware sherds.

This shot shows the huge but low (4.5ft - 1.4m) SE-facing doorway of the Carn Euny 'Beehive Hut' underground chamber, with its own short passage leading into the fogou passage which runs SW/NE, (but snaking here with a flatter, more W/E run), just outside the doorway. It is thought that the Beehive Hut (chamber) was the first structure on this site, so that originally the eastern wall of the fogou passage would not have obstructed the view. The inscription reads “CARAACI NEPUS’, kinsman of Caratacus. The stone
originally lay close to a track running out of the Exe valley. A shelter was
built for it in l906. Caratacus was the British leader of the rebellion
against the Romans in 47-51 AD. The stone was first documented in 1219 as a
Forest boundary and called the "Langeston".
