Log Text: Island in the Gulf of Morbihan only accessible by boat, and site not open to the public (bird sanctuary). Boat tours of the gulf do pass by so you can see it from offshore. Actually managed to get on the Island via hiring a boat but nearly died on the return journey as the tidal currents are very strong. Large stones with half the circle submerged or destroyed by the currents.

Knocknakilla

Knocknakilla submitted by Johnny on 21st Jun 2002. Knocknakilla Megalithic Complex, Co. Cork (W297 841): On the NW slopes of Musherabeg Mountain, Knocknakilla, the "stone of the church", is almost a twin to the megalithic complex at Kealkil (cf): both sites consist of a five-stone ring, a pair of standing stones and a radial cairn. Of the two pillar stones, one is now prostrate the other being the dominant feature in the complex standing 3.7m in height. The stones would originally have been just over 3.5m apart and aligned NNE-SSW....

Reenkilla

Reenkilla submitted by frogcottage42 on 22nd Feb 2010. This is the NW and tallest stone of this unusual group. Measuring 2.4m high and about .75m at it's widest. The smaller SE and SW stones can be seen to either side. This monument can only be reached by wading at low tide and is at serious risk of being damaged by falling trees which almost totally obscure it from view.

Col du Petit Saint-Bernard Cromlech

Col du Petit Saint-Bernard Cromlech submitted by bolshieboris on 10th Sep 2008. Site in Italy: Italian side - site is too big to fit in one photo - small stones no more than 12-18" high straddling French/Italian Border - 27-10-07
(View photo, vote or add a comment)

Log Text: The Little San Bernardino Pass goes straight through it across the France/Italy border which it also straddles. Very large circle with small-ish stones. Tank traps and border installations detract somewhat from the ambience, but worth a visit for the drive alone!
