Reenkilla
Date Added: 7th Jun 2013
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: Ireland (Republic of) (Co. Kerry)
Visited: Yes on 1st Feb 2008. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 4 Access 3

Reenkilla submitted by frogcottage42 on 22nd Feb 2010. This is the NW and tallest stone of this unusual group. Measuring 2.4m high and about .75m at it's widest.
The smaller SE and SW stones can be seen to either side.
This monument can only be reached by wading at low tide and is at serious risk of being damaged by falling trees which almost totally obscure it from view.

Col du Petit Saint-Bernard Cromlech submitted by bolshieboris on 10th Sep 2008. Site in Italy: Italian side - site is too big to fit in one photo - small stones no more than 12-18" high straddling French/Italian Border - 27-10-07
(View photo, vote or add a comment)
Log Text: The Little San Bernardino Pass goes straight through it across the France/Italy border which it also straddles. Very large circle with small-ish stones. Tank traps and border installations detract somewhat from the ambience, but worth a visit for the drive alone!

Right next to the M6 southbound carriageway. Ruined double ring, the noise from the motorway takes nothing away from this site. Ask at the farm.

Tyfos submitted by vicky on 7th Jun 2002. Tyfos Circle, Llandrillo, Denbighshire GR: SJ028388
This fantastic little circle lies in a farmer's field adjacent to a country lane near Llandrillo. Around 20 stones stand in a ring which has been described as either a denuded ringcairn or a free-standing stone circle. Although it is on private land it is well worth a visit and there are several gaps in the hedge making viewing easy.

Located 4km east of Newport on a public footpath. One of the most spectacular and famous monuments of its type it consists of a tilted capstone perched on three uprights.
