Date Added: 7th Jun 2013
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: Scotland (Isle of Skye)
Visited: Couldn't find on 27th Jun 2004. My rating: Access 1

Meal-da-Bheinn submitted by BolshieBoris on 27th Jun 2007. Meal-da-Bheinn - This was as close as I could get - according to the OS Map the circle should be on the sunlit bit of the hillside, but it was not accessible from the road without wading equipment. Very boggy ground and 2 deep streams in the way.

Knocknakilla submitted by Johnny on 21st Jun 2002. Knocknakilla Megalithic Complex, Co. Cork (W297 841):
On the NW slopes of Musherabeg Mountain, Knocknakilla, the "stone of the church", is almost a twin to the megalithic complex at Kealkil (cf): both sites consist of a five-stone ring, a pair of standing stones and a radial cairn. Of the two pillar stones, one is now prostrate the other being the dominant feature in the complex standing 3.7m in height. The stones would originally have been just over 3.5m apart and aligned NNE-SSW....

Long Meg And Her Daughters submitted by nicoladidsbury on 13th Jul 2005. Long Meg in midsummer moonlight. The solstice night is very short, but when you're waiting for the sun to rise, it gives plenty of opportuntiy to experiment with photos! A beautiful location on Bodmin Moor, Kernow's best known moor land. Despite it's dilapidated state, this stone circle is well worth seeking out!
