St Breward's Well submitted by KiwiBetsy on 6th Oct 2006. This well was thought to cure sore eyes and it was customary to leave a pin or coin as thanks. Despite the well's picturesque location it is now dry with it’s water piped away to a nearby farm.
In St Breward, at a bend in the road by the school, a lane lined with several houses leads to the right and down the hill. St Piran's Cross submitted by Thorgrim on 10th Dec 2003. Difficult to find amid the dunes of Penhale Sands, this 8 foot cross stands close to the sand-buried church of St Piran's Oratory. This is the earliest recorded stone cross in Cornwall and is dedicated to its patron saint and that of tinners and miners.
