Log Text: On road 239 Sorø to Næstved turn right after 6 km in the direction on Lynge (follow cycling route N6). After 3 km you enter a wood. In the wood take the road left to Munkedamm (Munkedammsvej) and park immediately. There is a parking place although there is no P sign. Take leaflet from a box under an information panel. You will find six megalithic sites here during a walk of around 2,5 km.
From the park place go south for about 500m. Then go left at a fork in the road, you will find the dolmen on your left side in the woods.

In the wood take the road left to Munkedamm (Munkedammsvej) and park immediately. There is a parking place although there is no P sign. Take leaflet from a box under an information panel. You will find six megalithic sites here during a walk of around 2,5 km.
This is the most impressive one, it is the third longest (80m) long barrow of Sealand. And surprising enough it is quite hard to find. From the parking place walk 500m south, then go right following the path down into a valley. After 200m the monument is on your right in the woods, but it is hard to see (in summer at least). If you can't see it walk on until a crossing, turn right and turn right after 25m again. Walk from there a few 10 meters to the monument.
It is a lovely one, secluded in the woods.

From the parking place go south for 500m and turn left at fork in the road. On your left you first find a dolmen, a bit further into the woods you will find this long barrow.

From parking place walk south for a few 100 meters, then turn left past two other monuments. Turn right after a few 100 meters and then you will see the monument after a few 100 meters on your left. It is visible from the path.

From the parking place walk south for a few 100 meterrs, then turn left. On your left side you find another monument, but if you continue 100m you will find this long barrow in the right side of the path.
It might be an interesting monument, but it was sadly overgrown when we visited it.

Log Text: Known as Gulager in Julian Cope's Megalithic European. On road 239 Sorø to Næstved turn left after around 3 km. It is signposted there as a ringdysse. You will find it after 800 meter on the right side opposite a farm.
In july 2015 this site was disappointing as it was almost fully overgrown. Still, it was easy to see this was a long barrow, not a round barrow.

From the car park walk south for a few 100 meters, then turn left. The monument is now on your left side.
The capstone is pretty impressive and enough of the surrounding stones remain to be seen, so all in all this is a nice barrow. It is however quite difficult to photograph it to give an impression. The ground was pretty soaked when we visited, so beware of where you put your feet...

Log Text: This monument is not easy to find as it is not signposted, but it is really worth a quest. On the road from Nykøbing to Egebjerg, pass through Egebjerg in the direction of Frenderup. Go right in the direction of Ostrup. Follow the road into a left sharp bend, then turn right into the Birketvej. After 100m you will find a parking place, park here. Follow the road on foot into the wood past a crossing. About 300 meters after the crossing there is a green path to your right into the wood (if you leave the wood then you have gone too far). Take this path, after 100m the monument is on your left side.
If you can't find it, ask your way around. Local people were extremely helpful here.

Log Text: Nice location in the woods on its own mound.
On the road from Nykøbing to Egebjerg, pass through Egebjerg, then turn left into Bråde. Ignore signs to Kongsøre Næbe, turn right into Sandskredsvej. After you enter the wood it is around 300 meters to your left. No real parking place here, but it is a very quiet road.

Log Text: Lovely restored passage grave, easy to find, good parking place. From Nykøbing take the busy road to Sjællands Odde. Turn right just after the village of Nyrup on the Troldhøjvej. Don't drive too hard as you will easily overshoot this road.
The passage grave was built around 3200 BC and is the largest on the island of Zealand. It was first investigated in 1909 and it was excellently restored in 2003 by the National Museum of Denmark.

Log Text: From Højby take the road to Stenstrup. Just outside Højby take the small road called Toftebjergvej. You will see a row of trees at the top of the hill, the monument is there. No real parking place but the road is very quiet.

Log Text: This is really known as the Troldstuerne and signposted and described as such. See also Julian Cope's Megalithic European.
Now, this is a lovely site. It is a double passage grave and the chambers share a wall. It is quite popular. It is near road 21 from Holbæk to Sjællands Odde and signposted from there. Good parking place available but it can be crowded.

Log Text: Impressive stones on a nice location. We cycled from the Sølager camping site (near the Kulhuse ferry) along the Grønnehavevej, which makes a nice quiet short 2 km tour. Would not recommend doing this by car though. Grønnæssegård is indeed privately owned, but they have signposted a route to the monument.

From Helsinge take road 223 to Valby. Turn right in the direction of Helsinge camping. Just after the camping there is large parking place on your left. We have cycled from there to the monuments, but a walk is certainly feasible, it's about 2,5 km (one way...). Pick up a leaflet at the parking place (in our case they were out of stock though).
This is the last monument you will encounter, Langdysse 2 is close by.

From Langdysse 3 continue along the forest road. After a few 100 meters there is a path to the left, which will bring you to Langdysse 1 and this one.

Either continue from Langdysse 6 on the left fork or follow the right fork past Longdysses 5 and 7 and turn left at split in the road. The first one is faster, the second one takes you along other long barrows.

Continue from Langdysse 6 on the right fork of the road. Turn left at split and then it is on your left side just before the road splits again. You won't miss anything if you miss it though...
