Ardgroom Outward NE
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: Ireland (Republic of) (Co. Cork)
Visited: Yes on 1st Mar 2010

Ardgroom Outward NE submitted by frogcottage42 on 1st Mar 2010. Three remaining stones of an axial circle.
These stones are quite unusual in that they are quite large in plan but relatively short.
The largest is around 1.6m tall and 2.0m wide, this gives the impression that this circle once resembled the local 5 stone variety.

Bawnatanaknock submitted by frogcottage42 on 15th Mar 2010. An ordinary looking stone but the presence of at last three Fulachta Fiadh within 500m suggests this marked a meeting place or busy route

Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: Ireland (Republic of) (Co. Cork)
Visited: Yes on 8th Mar 2010

Breeney More submitted by frogcottage42 on 8th Mar 2010. It is difficult to see that this may have been a circle, if it really was a circle and not a combination of a row and burials it was immense by SW standards.
This shot looks over where the axial stone should be, past the boulder burials and through the portals
