The field is currently being used as pasture, which means that access is muddy but at least the circle is not lost in crops. Lyme bay can be seen in the distance, and Abbotsbury hill-fort to the left of this.

Yarnbury Castle submitted by Thorgrim on 15th Oct 2003. Yarnbury Castle (Iron Age) is not far from the Winterbourne Stoke crossroads and can be seen to the north of the A303. Its two banks are 7.5m high and it still has very deep ditches. Interesting shapes within the fort can be misleading, but they are nothing but 18th century sheep pens and quarry scoops.
