Blackgate of Pitscandlie
Date Added: 12th Jan 2011
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: Scotland (Angus)
Visited: Yes on 24th Jun 2007
Blackgate of Pitscandlie submitted by hamish on 24th Jun 2007. After visiting Aberlemno carry on down the road towards Forfar, there is a turning on the right about three quarters of a mile after Pitscandlie House. There is just enough room to park on the edge of the lane. Walk up the lane for about 150yds and in the yard of the second house is the remains of this Circle.
Two massive stones go pretty well unnoticed by the folk who live here.

St Clether Crosses
Date Added: 12th Jan 2011
Site Type: Ancient Cross
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 29th Jul 2007
St Clether Crosses submitted by hamish on 29th Jul 2007. This is at SX202841. Just up the road from Basil Manor it is on the rightside of the road high on the hedge.
To get this view you have to go into the field through long grass and nettles. You also need a stout stick to beat down the vegetation hiding the Cross. Quite nice though.
