Tumulus Des Mousseaux submitted by AlexHunger on 4th Jun 2005. Large Cairn with 2 chambers and entrances facing south East, spectacular capstones, some repaired. Excavated 1970s and restored in 1985. Similar to Malta temples, but smaller. In Pornic.

Joselière Dolmen submitted by AlexHunger on 3rd Jun 2005. Unusually square 4 chambered square Cairn with double entrances in Pornic. Chambers with apses similar to single Maltese temples. Excavated In 1970s and restored 1985.

Prédaire Dolmen submitted by AlexHunger on 4th Jun 2005. Tertiary sandstone remains of cairn, in three apsed shape, similar to Maltese temples, excavated 1970s and restored in 1985. East of Pornic on Sentier Côtier.

La Haute Gedeliere Dolmen submitted by AlexHunger on 3rd Jun 2005. This neglected pile of stones and dirt probably used to be an Allee Couverte, but locals use it to burn vegetation and parts of it look like they were buldozed together. On private property / fields.

This was a lovely visit in the early morning sun, with dew and a bit of frost making everything sparkle, and some happy and contented cows wandering around in the surrounding fields.

Pierre au Rey submitted by thecaptain on 6th Dec 2004. La Pierre au Rey dolmen on the clifftops at Flamanville in Normandie, seen in its cafe garden. There are strange carvings on a couple of the stones, including a human figure on the top boulder.
