Trendle Ring
Date Added: 29th Apr 2022
Site Type: Ancient Village or Settlement
Country: England (Somerset)
Visited: Saw from a distance on 26th Apr 2022

Trendle Ring submitted by mattimpey on 15th Sep 2008. Hopefully you can just make out the single bank and ditch of what I think is Trendle Ring on a ridge of a Quantock hillside.
It is a single ditch and rampart enclosure about 130m above sea level.
The bracken was to thick to hike across in September so I hope to visit again in the winter when it has all died down or I find someone who knows where the path to it is.

A nice neat little stone circle on the moors below Belstone Tor on the common to the south of the village of Belstone, Devon. This circle is almost certainly the remains of a round burial cairn, and traces of the burial chamber can be seen within the circle.
This is a view looking north
