Log Text: I have visited this place to experience the sunset during the Fall equinox. The scenery is gorgeous with the Sun setting in front of the Moai statues. It is also a perfect spot for taking night sky pictures.

Originally a Later Neolithic or Early Bronze Age round barrow this now consists of three piles of stones known as the Three Men of Gardom’s, which were placed there during the 18th century, supposedly commemorating the death of three shepherds in the snow.

One of the finest examples of prehistoric rock art in the Peak District. Discovered in 1965 on a large earthfast boulder 25m east of the enclosure , the design consists of a series of cup and ringmarks together with a small spiral and two circles that enclose multiple cupmarks. Shot inside the Eastern edge of the Circle, looking due north.
We have the NorthEast Trilithon on the left with the morning-shadow of Stones 6/7/107 falling across it.
Bluestone 32-C is in the shadow of Stone 6.
It was a lovely morning!

Translation: Saddlestone. It is about 2.5 Meters tall with carvings done in recent century, such as the dates 1883 and 1945 as well as numerous crosses and the town seal.
About 1 KM north of Military Communications tower on hiking path, marked by club Vosgien.

Log Text: The site is located on top of a hill. You need to leave the car by the roadside and hike uphill a short trail. Once there you will find petroglyphs and ruins of an ancient Celtic settlement.
