St Edith's Well (Church Eaton)
Date Added: 2nd Nov 2022
Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring
Country: England (Staffordshire)
Visited: Would like to visit

St Edith's Well (Church Eaton) submitted by TimPrevett on 4th Aug 2007. Attempted to visit on a passing opportunity, however the well is not accessible from the west. A visit, out of season is required. The only shot I could get was through the hedge, above a deep drainage culvert, overgrown with vicious weeds. The well site remains as a green patch, with what must be some remaining posts of the upright well housing seen in THIS PICTURE from 1928. Another visit awaits.

Knockdrum Stone Fort
Date Added: 16th Jun 2021
Site Type: Stone Fort or Dun
Country: Ireland (Republic of) (Co. Cork)
Visited: Would like to visit

Knockdrum Stone Fort submitted by Madrid_Miner on 11th May 2013. Knockdrum Stone Fort from inside the fort looking south. This fort appears to have been reconstructed, as it stands with no breaks in the walls and is quite tidy. Access is through a gated fence and up a path to the top of a hill. A farmer was present, but ignored me. Cattle were also present within the fence. I've been there twice. Once in 1991 and again in 2010. Access was easier on the first visit. The site was marked on the first visit, but no markings are evident at the road in 2010.
