Log Text: There are a huge number of alignments here. Some buried in undergrowth and obscured by trees but the effect is dramatic.

Log Text: This Dolmen is vast. Why it is possible to drive up and walk round it without paying anything is a mystery in these mercenary times. When you first walk through the trees and see it, it is quite breathtaking. It is such an enormous construction.

Log Text: Another magical site. Wonderful location in a wood. Must be one of the longest and most complete allee couvert we have visited in France. So many of the capstones are in place. In a way it is good that the tumulus is gone so we can appreciate the construction.

Log Text: We tried to find this tomb when visiting Jardin-aux-Moines tumulus as it is quite nearby. The coordinates given for this site are in the same wood but in an impenetrable section so we had to give up especially after my wife came face to face with an aspic viper.

Log Text: Very stiff climb up a path from the road which lead directly to the tomb. There are some vast rocks here. Found a more sensible route down which exited on a track by the river.

Log Text: There is a sign by the road informing you of the presence of this menhir but no indication as to where it is. The trackway to it really does not exist any more. So just park the car and delve into the wood by the stream and follow the path until the stone is found.

Log Text: Well it is almost impossible to find now. We drove around for ages looking for this menhir and when we did find it we couldn't see it. Access is impossible. Barbed wire surround it on all sides and inside this enclosure is a mass of trees bushes and undergrowth.
