Twyn Bryn Glas Cairn submitted by sem on 18th Apr 2011. Beware the ponies here, they are not skittish around humans. One even tried to rifle through DocP's rucksack and steal his sandwiches!

Barry Island Cairns

Barry Island Cairns submitted by sem on 15th Mar 2011. Only the southernmost (rh of the picture) of the five cairns really stands out and this is because of a mound of mortar was placed on top erect a flagpole. Originally this would have been seen from a great distance and would have been a marvellous "signpost" for Bronze Age seafarers.

Carn Menyn (Gate Post?)

Carn Menyn (Gate Post?) submitted by sem on 1st Nov 2010. Gate Post? The N side(away from camera) has a hole that has been drilled as opposed to a cupmark, probably to use as a gate hanging. BUT, there are no signs of a field boundary within 20yds. I don't know why someone would put a 5ft stone here without reason.
