Tyn'r y selar

Tyn'r y selar submitted by sem on 1st Apr 2012. Ancient & Modern The efficacy of this stone remains undiminished. It is able to power the National Grid and levitate a white lorry and red car simultaneously. On the more mundane side, it is often a perch for buzzards who fly away at the first sight of a camera.

Rhossili Down Cairn 2

Rhossili Down Cairn 2 submitted by sem on 12th Mar 2013. Just one of many cairns.... Site in West Glamorgan Wales ... presumably why it was given such a romantic name by the Glam Gwent AT. It is one of the more easy to find as the kerbing is obvious.

Tinkinswood outliers submitted by sem on 16th Feb 2004. These large stones lie about 50yds from the burial chamber. They are only a few of those that litter the site and are never mentioned in guides. Could it be that the site is larger than we think? ST093733

Visited: Yes on 31st Dec 2005

Carreg Siglio

Carreg Siglio submitted by sem on 31st Dec 2005. This site bears a striking resemblence to William Stukely's engraving of Avebury, comprising a circle with two "horns" leading from it. The rocking stone was used as a pulpit by Dr William Price to preach his own brand of Druidism. He later found fame when charged with heresy for attempting to cremate his son Iesi Grist (Jesus Christ) in a tin of paraffin.
