Located 4km east of Newport on a public footpath. One of the most spectacular and famous monuments of its type it consists of a tilted capstone perched on three uprights. Tremaenhir Standing Stones submitted by PaulM on 6th Jun 2004. The village name suggests there are three standing stones in this village. This is the second of two marked on the OS map.
It is handily located on the grass verge so you can walk right up to it or view it from the comfort of your car seat.
This stone is located at SM827263 and has the initials "J.G." carved into it with the date 1860.

Impressively situated on the hillside close to St. David's Head, Coetan Arthur is the collapsed chamber of what is presumed to be a passage grave which also has a round barrow. The massive capstone measures approximately 5.9 meters by 2.6 meters and is supported on one side by an orthostat approximately 1.5 meters in height.

Shot inside the Eastern edge of the Circle, looking due north.
We have the NorthEast Trilithon on the left with the morning-shadow of Stones 6/7/107 falling across it.
Bluestone 32-C is in the shadow of Stone 6.
It was a lovely morning!
