Ffostil North Chambered Long Barrow | Chambered Tomb | Wales | Powys | Visited | 1st Aug 2020 | 2 | 4 | 3 | As previously mentioned by other visitors, the farmer was very friendly and helpful. I came at the wrong time of year as the barrows were both overgrown with lots of nettles which obscured the features.

Lyneham Long Barrow | Long Barrow | England | Oxfordshire | Visited | 1st Nov 2019 | 3 | 5 | 3 | Was here at sunset which was very beautiful, of course a wonderful view for the ancestors across the Cotswolds to the west. The barrow is kind of in the corner of a field with one big stone at its eastern end.

Cherry Garden Hill Barrow | Round Barrow(s) | England | Kent | Visited | 31st May 2019 | 3 | 4 | 3 | It has a WW2 pillbox on top. Nice spot, worth a visit. About an hour's walk from Folkestone West rail station.

Knocking Knoll | Long Barrow | England | Hertfordshire | Visited | 31st Dec 2018 | 3 | 5 | 3 | On a high exposed hill with particularly long views to E and W. What remains of the barrow is quite circular but long, more tapering west facing side and ploughed field just behind the East side suggest it could originally have been elongated along E-W axis.
Apparently the barrow straddles the bor... Read More |

Lousyberry Wood Tumuli | Barrow Cemetery | England | Kent | Visited | 29th Dec 2017 | 2 | 4 | 4 | Possibly important to note that Kent Archaeology dates these barrows to the Anglo-Saxon period so not prehistoric.
I had my chauffeur waiting so I couldn't explore properly, in my short visit it was difficult to count the barrows as it looked like some may have had trenches cut through the top of... Read More |

Mount Mead | Round Barrow(s) | England | Kent | Visited | 1st Feb 2017 | 3 | 4 | 3 | On private land, I rang the bell at the gate and the owners were pretty friendly and let me walk around the mound. Unfortunately my phone had packed up that day so no photos. Very complete and impressive mound, the owners said it has been dated to Bronze Age by archaeologists.

Julliberrie's Grave | Long Barrow | England | Kent | Visited | 27th Nov 2016 | 3 | 4 | 4 | Location is very nice - the north end of the barrow looks down from a ridge onto the river below. difficult to find without an OS map - climb footpath from the river and turn right at junction after climbing for about 200 meters. Or take an OS map :)
Caesar's Camp (Folkstone) | Hillfort | England | Kent | Visited | 21st Aug 2016 | 4 | 4 | There is an information board about the medieval castle on the footpath approach from Crete Road West, but I don't think it mentions any Iron Age archaeology. Very nice spot overlooking Folkestone and English Channel. Popular with picnicking families, people out for a stroll etc.
Capel-le-Ferne Bowl Barrow | Round Barrow(s) | England | Kent | Visited | 5th Nov 2016 | 3 | 4 | 4 | Access from cliff edge footpath. Big crater in the top of the barrow and a ditch running right through barrow from one side to the other. Hidden from Old and New Dover Roads by thick brambles. Beautiful location on cliff edge overlooking the English Channel. |
