Site Type: Souterrain (Fogou, Earth House)
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 18th Sep 2019. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 3 Access 4

Chysauster Fogou submitted by enkidu41 on 26th Apr 2004. SW 4720 3483
Only 2 roofing lintels remain of this fogou associated with Chysauster Courtyard House village. The English Heritage response to the cost of restoration is sadly predictable.

Creeg Tol
Date Added: 12th Feb 2020
Site Type: Rock Outcrop
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 16th Sep 2019. My rating: Condition 5 Ambience 4 Access 4

Creeg Tol basin submitted by AngieLake on 22nd Mar 2004. This is the Creeg Tol basin (not the Giant's Footprints - they are on a big stone to the right of this).
It struck me that this would be a very suitable ceremonial site, standing here, using the basin to anoint some leader (possibly?), who may have stood on the natural platform just underneath it, (lower right in pic) in sight of Boscawen Un, (top centre) and - looking down upon the tiny Creeg Tol "circle". (Out of sight, below right).
The whole setting has a strange atmosphere. I almost won...

I find something magical about the process of creating a startrail picture. Sitting under the stars for three or four hours with no lights so my eyes have adjusted to the dark so well that I don't need any additional light. Gazing at the vastness of the universe, spotting meteors, satellites, aircraft, all in complete silence. I don't really sleep because ...

Date Added: 13th Feb 2020
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 15th Sep 2019. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 5 Access 3

Boskednan stone circle submitted by JimChampion on 22nd Aug 2005. The portal stones illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun. The tallest one (on the left) has a diagonal groove present on this and the opposite side. The holes that the restored stones were raised from have been covered with pegged down foliage, presumably to encourage regrowth on the bare earth.

These two stones stand to the west of the Hurlers stone circles. The dung in the foreground is from the ponies that graze the moor.

Broomrigg A
Date Added: 7th Jan 2018
Site Type: Stone Row / Alignment
Country: England (Cumbria)
Visited: Yes on 2nd Aug 2017. My rating: Condition 1 Ambience 2 Access 4
Broomrigg A submitted by rich32 on 22nd Jul 2004. Broomrigg A, Cumbria (NY548467)
The Broomrigg sites are set in a pine plantation and are near to a track This image shows part of Broomrigg ‘A’, it was quite difficult to get more in the shot due to the trees. I also found Broomrigg ‘B’, but gave up on ‘C’ & ‘D’ due to eating too many flies (protein or no protein not nice) and a dodgy GPS signal.
